Emma Williams, Business Manager
Karen introduced her stepdaughter Emma Williams into the business in 2013 when Emma took on the role of business and administration manager.
Emma grew up in the area and attended school in Muswellbrook
and Scone before completing her studies on the Central Coast.
In 2001 Emma began her career in the hospitality industry within three major hotels in Newcastle doing accounts and marketing, while completing a Diploma in Business Management. After an 11-year break travelling and working in many other administration, health, sports and hospitality industries through Australia, Europe and the UK, Emma combines all her life skills to come on board and help with the family business.
Not only does Emma know all things business, she also lends a hand with the cellar door when required, conducting wine tastings and bar work as well as helping out during harvest in past vintages with a spot of tractor driving.
"I’m not a big wine drinker and I didn’t have a great deal of knowledge about wine so I am loving learning all there is to know,” Emma says.
“It is intriguing to be part of the whole process from the vine to the cellar door. I am continually open to taking in more information and the wine tastings are not too bad either."
Emma enjoys studying and keeping herself busy, which is easy to do considering she is a fully qualified sports massage therapist.
She trained in Australia and Thailand and is starting to increase her client base around the area. She is also a masseur for the Knights rugby league team.
Returning to the Upper Hunter had never been a consideration for Emma until now.
"I am so happy to have this opportunity to work in such a beautiful part of the world and to see the business grow to its full potential," she says.
