Charlie Farley

Charlie is originally from a beef cattle, equine and farming background but has been in the wine industry
since 1994, starting with Robert Oatley and the development of Rosemount Estate.
Here Charlie undertook trade as a fitter and was instrumental in the construction of the 6000-tonne Rosemount Winery and its bottling lines.
Charlie also has extensive experience in the vineyards in new plantings and premium wine growing.
After more than 10 years at Rosemount, Charlie moved to Two Rivers Wines at Denman spending some seven years developing 300ha of premium Upper Hunter wine grapes which won many awards and medals. Charlie assisted in helping Two Rivers become a 5-star wine producer. His role here was the introduction of mechanisation including mechanical harvesting.
Charlie designed and had manufactured specialised equipment, which is now widely used in vineyards across the Hunter.
In 2011 Charlie joined Hollydene Estate Wines to take up the role of vineyard manager at Wybong and Hollydene Vineyards.
He also took on the beef cattle and sheep enterprises across the Hollydene Estate properties with two farm/vineyard hands working under him.
Charlie skills complement the other hands-on management within the Hollydene Estate Group.
